What does the program involve?
The Couch to 5k program is a 9 week program that is aimed at beginner runners who are looking to complete their first 5K race or those who have not run in a while. There is one training session per week with 5DR and participants are provided with a 9-week training plan that outlines the recommended exercises that they should be doing to achieve their goal at the end of the program.
The sessions are a great opportunity for socialising with friends or meeting new people, and they will help build aerobic fitness and speed. Runners are also provided with advice on running technique to improve running efficiency and reduce the risk of injury.
All runners will be invited to join the 5DR Strava run club and will also receive a free 5DR cap when they attend their first training session.
